A LIFE DEVOTED TO

SERVICE

Byron Walters engaging with Berkeley County community members

"Every child deserves a safe, stable home, and every working family deserves a leader who actually understands their daily struggles."

Service has guided Byron Walters III throughout his life—from serving his country to serving his community.

After his military service, Byron spent more than 30 years in the hospitality industry, including over 15 years in management. Working alongside hardworking South Carolinians gave him firsthand insight into the challenges many families face every day. He understands what it means to work long hours, live paycheck to paycheck, and strive to build a better future for those you love. Those experiences continue to shape his commitment to expanding economic opportunity, promoting responsible governance, and supporting working families.

Faith, Family, Freedom

Family is at the heart of Byron's life and the values that guide his service. As a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and foster parent, he understands the importance of creating safe, supportive communities where families can thrive. Those experiences continue to shape his commitment to serving District 92 with integrity, compassion, and accountability.

Together, Byron and his wife Denise, have opened their home as foster parents to medically fragile children, providing care, stability, and compassion to some of the community's most vulnerable children. This deeply personal experience inspired Byron's commitment to strengthening South Carolina's foster care system by expanding resources for foster families, improving access to specialized medical care, and ensuring caregivers receive the training and support they need.

Today, Byron is running for the South Carolina House of Representatives, District 92, because he believes the people of his community deserve leadership rooted in integrity, accountability, and service. He isn't running to be a career politician—he's running to continue putting people first and fighting for families, veterans, and hardworking South Carolinians.

Join us in building a stronger, more prosperous future for South Carolina.
